In International airfreight shipping, your billable shipping weight is dependent not only on the weight but also the size of your packages. We evaluate all your packages that arrive to determine if we can cut down your shipping cost by repacking and surely to ensure safety and less damage.

For example your package has actual real weight of 1 kgs, but it is pretty big, like a teddy bear, a table or some cloth.Shipping companies will multiply length, height and width of the package and divide it by DIM factor. The result is volumetric weight.

If the vol weight is higher than actual weight, you pay on the higher number.

For example package with dimensions 40x30x30 cm will have 6 kg dimensional or volumetric weight:

International volumetric weights are calculated using the formula below:

 (Length x Width x Height in cm) / 5000 = Volumetric Weight in kilograms

or,

(Length x Width x Height in inches) / 139 = Volumetric Weight in pounds

1 lbs = 454 grams

1 inch = 2.54 cm

Consider the greater of your package's actual weight and volumetric weight when consulting the rate table.

Our shipping price is based on centimeters and kilograms.

NB: some stores will show a Shipping Weight on their page, which in fact is the inland truck weight, not to be confused with volume weight. After all, these stores do not ship internationally and the above airfreight volumetric rule does not apply on them. Stores in the US or in Europe ship only locally and use trucks for delivery, while iShip uses airplanes + trucks.
