Update Regarding Shipping Batteries
- Lithium Batteries with light charge NiMH can be shipped without additional charge as long as they come installed in the equipment they power (for example, the battery inside a laptop or a toy is accepted)
- For external Lithium batteries, coming alone, for example power banks or rechargeable, there are additional cost for packing and shipping them. The cost varies on the battery capacity (NiMh), cost ranges from $10 to $80
- Acid Batteries are also considered dangerous cargo and shipping them is more expensive than Lithium batteries, they require special packing, declaration, special handling. Cost can be determined on a case by case basis and starts at $75.
- Alkaline (AA, AAA) are NOT classified as dangerous goods and can be shipped with no issues.
